I went ahead and "erased" the entire phone with the find my iphone app. Can this TPOS still be able to access my data, credit card information and most importantly pics that should not be seen by anyone except the misses and I.
I can't get a clear answer from Sprint customer service reps about this issue.
FYI, I filed a police report and tracked the phone to a Hotel off Canal street.

Mine got stolen 2 weeks ago and the people at ATT said they could lock it so no one could access my info. I'm sure sprint should be able to do something similar.
Good luck

i don't think they can unless they're like a master hacker or something.. but the thing is.. i believe since you erased to phone.. you wont be able to track it now. can you still track it?
the erase my iphone feature brings the phone back to factory condition, so if he decides to make his own account on your phone it would be his cloud account and you wouldn't be able to track it anymore.

Cancel your credit cards, it's not worth the risk.

This is why everyone should practice regular back-up practices. Which reminds me......

I had an Iphone stolen from my center console when I forgot to lock my wife's car. Find my Iphone does nothing once it's turned off. The "wipe" function may work as soon as they turn it on. I don't trust the whole locked phone thing though. We have a cell phone store in the ghetto around where I live that has a big sign that says "we unlock phones". Pisses me off, because I know it's just a front for people to sell stolen phones.

I understand you are looking for help here but it might be helpful to others to know how your phone was stolen.

GO to iCloud.com and lock the phone.

Stop being a puss and go get your phone

New Orleans has professional phone thiefs working the quarter. They won't snatch from your hands, but if you set it down somewhere for a second it will be gone.
