Why does jamarcus get so much hate from LSU fans despite being the best qb in school history?
Brooks was pretty terrible his last few years and laughed after blowing our playoff chances. He was too hurt to be playing though

Well, if I was the QB of an NFL team, and I threw the ball backwards during a game, I probably wouldn't smile like "haha, oh well, I'm getting paid regardless."
But yeah, he's a much better QB than worst.

Couldn't agree more. Race and local backup probably each had something to do with it. I definitely remember some comments about his race from multiple people around us in the terrace back then.

Because people are stupid. Haslett is more to blame than brooks for his issues. He tried to turn him into a pocket passer after he had some success which was retarded.
It was also an expectations issue.
He was Mike Vick's cousin and everyone was familiar with how awesome prep puppy murdering Vick was.

He had some great moments. Also had some of the dumbest moments. Too many bad moments, too few good moments.
And LSU fans dont hate the LSU JaMarcus. They hate NFL JaMarcus. Big difference, especially with this. People hate on Aaron Brooks that was a Saint.
And I agree he is a top 5 Saints QB of all time.... but that shows you the type of franchise we have been.... until 2006. He was 38-44, and had 120 TDs, but 84 INTs.

brooks was an arse clown. he benefited heavily from playing under mike mccarthys offense. without him, brooks is mediocre at best.
he showed no care or responsibility. people dont want that in a QB. he played like he didnt give a frick, so fans turned on him. he had talent, but as i said, benefited from the offensive system in place. he had no drive.

Brooks didn't play with passion . He did it because he could, if that makes any sense. He never showed much emotion or love tothe fans and at times appeared to have cared less about winning. He just competed. IMO.

He was the worst QB in Saints History. Worse than Wade Wilson. He also couldn't read a defense, hated Nawlins and disrespected every Saints fan by being the laziest QB ever.

Brooks and Willie Jackson seemed like they carved up the Rams each time we played them.
i think part of the reason he declined was because the team itself just declined.
i don't what the hell Haslett was doing the last few years he was coach. I didn't even look forward to the draft in those years.
