I liked Smallwood before the combine, but he ran really slow times. Now I've become a fan of Jordan Tripp and Andrew Jackson intrigues me.

That was never really going to happen. I think once FA opened and teams started spending money they realized getting him is a bad move.

of course lol, but a guy can speculate can't he!?

Label WR as #3 WR. LT is fine with Armstead(though we need a backup). OLB is fine with Galette, Butler, and Dawson(and more then set if Haralson comes back). ILB is where we need speed and youth.

OLB is fine this year, but if butler has a breakout year, we're gonna lose him. ILB we can cut hawthorne next year, so we need a new body there. Getting a LB in either category this year if he's BPA should lessen the load for next year. As for LT, armstead showed he's played well down the stretch, but you can never be too sure with having a backup/outperformance

Yes, but when talking needs you look at this year. There are other positions that we should be looking at the same as LB. OG is obviously a place we should try to get younger and cheaper at. We'll need a WR to replace Colston(if Toon isn't it).

Immediate needs(depending on how the Saints view some of these guys) would be:

C
RT
#3 WR
#2 CB

And honestly we do have young guys at each spot that have shown varying levels of potential.

Wants would be:

LB(speedy cover guy)
WR(whatever type we didn't grab first)
OG(to get younger)
NT(to get younger; Bunkley)

And then some depth:

S
ILB

LB was pretty low on the needs list of mine. lol

I think its a luxury pick, but it could definitely use a rangy LB in general. At every level (minus LB) we have an all-pro caliber player. We could at least get a pro-bowl caliber LB

I definitely agree it would be nice. We need a rangy guy to really make us elite. But it's more of a luxury and not an immediate need.

If we could find another Stills or even just a deep threat in the draft I think our offense will stay top 5.

The madness that is lazy, unprofessional reporting strikes again in A. Schefter. I won't even go on a rant like yesterday about this cornball, he keeps making himself look worse and worse. :beatdeadhorse:

Ian R was the one who stated Browder had signed before Schefter. Schefter refuted that, then came back with his "Well placed source" tweet.

I have heard Saint's are keeping a close eye on Greer's recovering and don't be surprised if things look positive they offer him a one year deal at a value price.

@AdamSchefter: CB Brandon Browner is visiting Washington today, then plans to visit N.O. while his agent Peter Schaffer talks with New England and Oakland.

Hopefully Ryan can make a hell of a pitch.

Argh.

AlbertBreer: Per Redskins source, Brandon Browner isn't in Washington. Club under the impression he might do a deal with the Patriots.

It would be pretty awesome to draft him late just to have a player named Andrew Jackson in New Orleans. I don't know if he has a nickname already, but if we drafted him/signed him as a UDFA, he should be known as "The Colonel".

Hopefully he said "frick Washington, I'm going straight to NOLA."

it was also Ian Rapoport who reported he signed with NE before it was official and the agent got mad.

ETA: Maybe that 'secret free agent' we were seeing yesterday was....

Brandon Browner

That was from yesterday and we vehemently denied by many.

Haven't seen much new this AM

Even if it proves false that he signed with NE, there's enough of a market after him that it seems unlikely we sign him, but who knows. There's still DRC and Antonio Cromartie. We may just have to draft a m'fer.

I'm fairly certain we can't afford DRC.

And AC probably isn't much of an improvement over what we have.
