He does have a big arm and quick release. If he doesn't get offered here, he'll definitely go light it up at Ole Miss if they can continue their good recruiting.

And for the people that say he's too short. Aaron Murray is 6'0 and did fine. This kid will probably be 6'0-6'1 in cleats after a redshirt.

Needs to grow a few inches to big a big time recruit. He has a quick release but a bit of a funky throwing motion.

He has a huge arm, is very agile and looks like a top tier athlete.

Is he stuck on playing QB? If so, he is a classic example of a guy that goes to a smaller school and destroys record books and then changes positions if he tries to make it to the NFL.

It would be nice if he grew another inch or two, but I don't think it's critical for him to be a good college QB, given his arm strength. What I'd like to know about is his accuracy and his ability to read coverages and make good decisions.

About his height, there have been plenty of QBs who performed well in college and/or in the pros despite lacking prototypical height. Vick, Brees, R. Wilson, Manziel, Keenum, Troy Smith, DJ Shockley and going back a few years, Doug Flutie, more locally, Herb Tyler, etc, were all about 6-0 or under. I'm sure there are quite a few more we could list.

I'm very intrigued with this kid, given his strong arm and good speed.

Kid's awesome for his age after seeing his delivery of the ball at the end of the video, would love to see him play in the P&G one day. He looks super versatile, and I bet he could tear it up at safety,lb, or QB by the time he goes to college. Definitely will grow to a minimum of 6'1 but who knows at that age.

Geauxld Finger getting this kid right , cam loves him needs to grow a few inches. thanks for posting coach. kid looks talented but needs to develop a bit.

No offense, but I hate posts like this. What do we know? I get what you are saying. You are comparing him to others you have seen. And, they all need to develop. But, it is a throwaway comment that really doesn't mean anything - especially to the guy who came on here to brag about a kid he is coaching.

A kid who is 5'11" at 16 and is running 4.3 hand timed 40s might be a great football player.

Anyway, sorry for ranting. I just wanted to say that.

Thanks for sharing his info with us. We need more of this.

I appreciate the post Coach. He doesn't need a few inches if he can change his mechanics a bit. He throws from his shoulder right now. If he can get on his toes and throw from the highest point then he would have no problem throwing a football in the SEC. I'm glad that Cam has taken an interest and hopefully will help him develop into a better passer. As an athlete the kid has it. He has straight line speed and change of direction. If he REALLY wants to be a QB then he's going to need to change a few things about his play style and mechanics. In several highlights he takes off running with guys 15 yds down field wide open. He has to see the field, probably a result of him being 5'11". In college those runs where he reverses field ends up as a loss of yardage. He has a lot of potential, but first thing you need to work on is his point of release. Get it higher. Look at Brees, Flutie, Wilson, or Manziel. These guys all have really high releases and they stay on the tips of their toes at all times. Keep these kids on the right path Coach. We appreciate someone with a general interest in these kids lives. get better

Thanks for the post, Coach Shawn. First, disregard the idiots on this board!

5'11" 4.52 Excellent Student (Weighs about 180 lbs.?) -

You can tell from the video that he is an athlete. Good Luck this season!

If he is six one 195 and can run a 4.3, I think I would look at him as a RB or DB.

And some on here are sayin he needs to grow a lil to be a big time recruit. lol He is only 16. Ain't done growin. Kid has skills that will only develop even more in time, but with what he is showing now on film he still is impressive. Thanks, coach!

Not really! I mean look what Michael Vick did in open field in his youth. And this kid has the talent to develop into a much better passer than Vick.
