I don't even know how much ice time he had to this point...it was only halfway through the first.

Not even halfway. I think there was still 13+ minutes in the first.

Sounds like a great job by medical personnel. He got to the hospital fast.

Yeah, sounding like he's going to be okay thankfully.

This scares the absolute shite out of me with Kris Letang.

At about 13:52 left in the 1st you can see half of the stars bench jumping up and down trying to get everyone's attention. Everyone sitting on the other side of the bench seemed oblivious, so it had to happen just then. A few seconds later the commentators mention that something is going on the Dallas bench. The camera focuses on the bench and you can see people (paramedics I assume) carry someone from the bench. They were carrying him like you would carry someone who is already unconscious with someone grabbing his legs and someone grabbing his upper body and carrying a limp body off. Also looks like they laid him on the ground as soon as they got in the tunnel.

He is awake and conscience now apparently.

Man, this just completely killed my mood, can't imagine being a player.

Interesting to know what they'll do. Season is winding down, both teams have games tomorrow.

Same. Had a long day and just wanted to enjoy some Stars hockey. Game has been postponed to a later date per Stars broadcast.

The rangers had a 1st round pic collapse and die on the ice of a KHL game a couple years ago... Makes you appreciate the level of medical attention athletes get in the country -- pro and college.

DALLAS -- In the first period of the Dallas Stars’ game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night, Dallas center Rich Peverley was carried from the Stars bench to the locker room with an undisclosed medical issue. Peverley was skating on the Stars’ top line alongside Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin before the game was stopped at 13:37.

The remainder of the game has officially been been postponed.

Peverley had apparently collapsed on the bench several seconds prior, and the Dallas players were banging their sticks on the boards in front of their bench trying to get the officials’ attention so they would stop play.

Peverley, who joined Dallas in July 2013 via a trade with the Boston Bruins, missed all of training camp and the Stars’ Oct. 3 season opener against the Florida Panthers after having a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat.

Peverley did not travel with the team to Columbus for their game last Tuesday, one the Stars lost 4-3. He was listed as out for that game with an upper-body injury. However, Dallas coach Lindy Ruff confirmed after morning skate last Thursday that Peveley’s absence was tied to his heart condition from earlier in the season.

After the game was delayed for approximately 15 minutes, each team headed to its locker room.

Peverley has been taken to a local hospital and is conscious.
