i used to work at the bluffs, computing handicaps. iirc, there were upwards of 20 scratch golfers or better. that's pretty damn good I think.

I love this thread so much
We should produce a MSB rating of the top amateurs in the state...I would love to see the Top 10s in here....

Squirrel Run...ftw!!!
Actually some buddies were looking to go play a few BR courses, is the Bluffs the place to go if we've never played there before? We heard some good things about Santa Maria also.
Thanks

Let's start a top 10 list. Let's breakdown it down to cities first. Who would be the top 10 in BR area.
Who would be the top 10 in NO area.
Who would be the top 10 in NO area.

If you don't include junior and college players, I think these are the top amateur golfers in the state:
Christovich
McWilliams
Aydlett
Brennan
Thibeaux
Nicholas
Baronet
Brame
Patin
Talley
I am sure I am missing a few.

Good list. Christovich is really good. Why do you think he doesn't make a run at being a professional? Could he make it?

What if you made a club out of Baton Rouge golfers who aren't a member somewhere. Would it be competitive?
