Isn't the point of watching sports to be entertained? If a guy is boring then he really isn't doing anything for me.
As to the Gasol being a top 10 player, it came from some rankings crap that ESPN put out before the season. I agree with the sentiment that Gasol is a top 3 center, but you'll have people here soon saying that he's the best center in the league, without a doubt.

As a spectator... sure its about being entertained. Im entertained when I watch Duncan go to work. His game is a lost art in modern day basketball. Hes the most fundamentally sound player in the league and has been his entire career. I like watching good basketball. Duncan plays great basketball. I hate watching Griffin trying to shoot a 15ft jumper. Sure its cool when he dunks, but it counts the same as a layup.
If you were a Spurs fan, you would never say I dont like Duncan because hes boring. And when he was younger he was throwing it down on people as well. Hes 37 now, and doesnt have to do that to be successful.
But the point of playing sports is to win. To win, youve gotta be good. Duncan has succeeded both individually and on his team. Its about the outcome. Regardless how you do it. And he def gets the desired outcome.
And regards to Gasol, was that list about the best players? Or most important players to the team? Because Gasol is top 10 in importance to team success. Im not saying hes the best C in the game, but I would take him over Dwight. Same with Noah. I just prefer their complete game.
Points per game, Dwight is better. But not by much when you take into account the assists and points that Gasol and Noah are responsible for. And they have less turnovers than Dwight. And they arent a liabilty at the FT line like Dwight is.
