Only 2 nations in the world truly play it. Don't think it would happen. Canada would rack up them silvers though

In one of those American Football World Cups we had to beat Japan in 2 overtimes to win in the finals.

We should encourage our NFL players to play Rugby. Imagine Marshawn Lynch and Adrian Peterson. The whiteys wouldn't know what happened to them

Those that don't make it to the NFL should get into rugby. Getting used to the pace and playing on both sides of the ball might be a challenge though.

I love football, but Rugby is a better game, and arguably less hazardous to players' long term health and well being.

Yeah I would love to see some professional rugby here. I know the NFL has talked about forming a league but I'm not sure how it will go.

Why would we even want it in the Olympics?

If I had an actual team to go for (I'm not one to just pick a team... I have to have a tie of sorts), I could really get into Rugby. I love the triple option and it's kinda like that the entire time

I'd rather watch a rugby match than a football game.

There's a better chance flag football makes it than real football. Rugby 7s is garbage and is in instead of union.

No, for so many reasons, but to the IOC, cost is the main one.

Will likely never happen, but if it did and the IOC and the NFL allowed the American squad to use NFL players, it would be the most uneven competition in modern sports history. Would be closer to GTech vs Cumberland* than the '92 dream team.

*for those unaware, in the early 20th century, GTech beat Cumberland College like 222-0. Neither team recorded an official first down as GTech scored on nearly every play from scrimmage and always within the first 4 downs of each possession.

No.

In 20 years, there will not be American football. Lawyers will have killed it.

Kuwait, American Samoa, Austria, France, Mexico, Japan, Canada and the US will play in the U19 World Championship this summer in… Kuwait City.

Canada is the defending champion, btw.

US won the first U19 championship (then called the Junior World Championship) in 2009.

Look at the US roster from that year:

If it does come to the Olympics, I want to play the Netherlands first.
