I'll have to check, but I think I have another fundraiser that I help put on that weekend.

I am pretty good at golf cart mudding if anyone needs a tutorial. Naw seriously, I've never played golf or run a 5k, but I am good at drinking. I'll try to make it to this one

In and there.

Never met EJW but this is a great cause and a great opportunity to meet fellow OB'ers.

Probably wouldn't play golf and definitely won't be participating in the run but I can help with the beer and liquor consumption and tend camp.

Will also bow hunt if it's a possibility.

I'd be coming solo so if i can share a cabin with someone or another group that'd be great.

PSA: there no sac au lait in this lake but it is fully stocked with white perch for your enjoyment.

I never met the man, but what about funding scholarship accounts for the kids?

Maybe they are already taken care of, but if not I think we should consider it. No better way to honor a man, than to watch out for his family

JSM has also stated there may be some bow hunting opportunities for those not interested in golfing.

In - I would like to get more details on the above listed opportunity

I'm not a regular OBer, but am a regular golf boarder. You guys care if I get in on this?

In for everything except the golf. I'll bring my boat and catch some sacaulait. I can bring my bow too if the bow hunting pans out.

I'll do the 5k if KR does it. Maybe we can do a one mile run with beer involved.

Let me know if you need help setting anything up.

I am in and will split cabin costs with whomever. Sounds like a great weekend. I have a weird feeling that this thing will blow up and become an event like only seen once before, for some reason.

That part of the country has strong ties to the EJW family.

Fabulous idea!
I actually live on Poverty Point Lake and would be happy to help on this. Hopefully the fish will bite better than this past fall ( it's a little early in October), but can help anyone wanting to fish.I can also help folks find decent Bow oppurtunities on the Tensas NWR, as I hunt nearby.
As for golf, I barely know a putter from a wedgie, so I may not be any help there, but I do know Eric, the pro there.
Note Whiskey Dick: there is also a motel right next to the club house. Did you check on reservations there? There is also a somewhat small assembly hall near the south boat launch that may be available. Whatever, I'm in!!!

PS I can't imagine watching an LSU footbal game with a bunch of drunkassed OBERS!
Couyon is Pumped!!
