I recall last year in the class hearing from the instructor about a guy that had to go thru what you are describing.
The funnist story was about a guy that had to go get info on about 5-6 divorces in several states. My wife and I had both been divorced and had to send the divorce decrees to BRLa.

You do not have to go there.... Call Clerk of Courts office and tell them you need an official copy of your record.... They know the drill... For a CC Permit. They may transfer you to the DA's office, they may help you. They will mail an official copy to you for $10-$15.
