JOB3 played hard. Our guards are really weak
We have no concept of team basketball
Good looking players and we can't get it done on the court
We should have won 4-5 more games with this talent.

Doesn't really address the question, does it?

This team blew its wad against UK.
Even the effort at home against Auburn was lacking.
Very disappointing.

Jones doesn't coach like this is his "dream job."

quote:This confounds me, as Coach Brown was very defensive minded.
Johnny Jones is the fricking worst defensive coach LSU has had maybe ever.

Johnny Jones better hire a STRONG bench coach in the off season .. Brown had Rick Huckabay and Tex Winter .. CJJ can recruit .. But he lacks Brown's motivational acumen .. When a team is inconsistent and lacks focus in February, that's coaching ..

As long as Daddy Dale, Rudy Macklin, and the Primerica coalition of Temples are happy, then I guess that's all that matters.

yea thats where the dale/johnny comparisons need to stop. dale could motivate a rock. johnny couldn't motivate a jackrabbit on a hot date with a babe...
aw frick it i lost my train of thought

This season was CJJ and the program's corner turning season .. and they've pissed it away .. This team isn't buying in and playing hard for him for some reason ..

Looks in over his head. Maybe he'll grow in to it.

Johnny isn't a visible motivator at all and won't challenge the refs even when the opposing coach is elbow to elbow with the LSU player

yea it really is a shame. shite, i actually chose to work this afternoon and didn't watch the game because i've seen what i needed to see. this team just doesn't deserve shite. to play the way they've played at times this season with EVERYTHING TO PLAY FOR has just been absolutely mind boggling.

It I hear that LSU is a "bubble team" one more time
It's quite frankly insulting to everyone's intelligence

I've just realized something. Our team is NOT deeper than last year, which was supposed to have been solved with our new recruits.
2 of our starters are very talented, but freshmen. One of them Mickey, plays so many minutes that he's getting worn down over the season. Martin is better on offense these days but ludicrous on D.
Tim has been a disappointment, has not adjusted to the college game yet and is somewhat of a liability, makes silly fouls. Therefore his height and length, that coming into this season was considered such a huge asset, has not panned out. Still have to rely on Hickey, who also puts in a lot of minutes. He's a one man press- breaking machine, but that uses up energy.
We don't have much of a bench, only Stringer, who's been a bit streaky lately. When JOB is out, or Mickey, we're scrambling for forwards to take their place.
No depth = same as last year, without the hustle.
Saddened.
