1st Anniversary/Valentines screw up

So yesterday was my 1st anniversary which falls on valentines. I'm overseas right now while my wife is back home in FL.
I got her something about 2 weeks ago, mailed it to her and told her not to open bc it was her present but she opened it anyway. I also had a large picture printed of me, my daughter and her and it was supposed to be delivered yesterday but won't be delivered until Monday.
Now I am the scum of the earth because everyone else got flowers and my gift didn't make it and it feels like she will never forgive me.
Am I in the wrong here?
I don't understand why she is freaking out if she knows the circumstances we are under.

Women are generally unreasonable when it comes to things like this. But she'll soon forget about it I'm sure.

Your ole lady sounds like a trifling beeotch. Next thing I would send her would be photographic evidence of you going jihad on some talibanny poon. Tell her that's what's up.

Sorry you lost the wife lottery. Unless you are the CEO of said delivery co, you have no bearing on her not receiving what you intended.

Looks like it took you exactly one year to realize you made a horrible decision in marrying that bitch. I'd send the divorce papers now. She won't get any better. Sucks that you made such a poor choice. There are cool, reasonable women out there, just not many. Good luck.

Tell her to quit thinking only about herself on Valentine's Day, and start thinking of you and she will soon find the meaning of what Valentine's Day is, as well as what love is.
By getting her eyes off of the princess, she may then see a prince in you. Hard to do that when you can't stop looking at yourself, because all you see is you.

Be assertive and lead the discussion...not defensive and following her lead! Stay very calm...don't raise voice! Tell her you love her, you tried, she is acting inappropriately, next year will be better, you can't wait to see her and that you will discuss it no further...kill it today! When she receives the present Monday, she will feel like shite for reacting immaturely and you won't have to say anything, except "you're welcome" if she thanks you! If she tries to start up again, either bitching or apologizing, tell her "as I said, this discussion is over."
Handling the matter firmly and clearly will show her you are strong...not weak! It will become a positive, because it will begin generating respect from her, toward you as the family leader!
When you get home, don't let it be discussed...take her to a reserved dinner at a restaurant with fresh food (not processed/frozen), give her one rose, make love, and as you then cuddle and she cries, cry a little yourself or fake a couple tears!
