Heard Barcadia been looking for a location for awhile. Went to owners of Serranos and gave them money to get out.... Probably wasnt much if the food is as bad as everyone says on here....

They are doing work in the old Gatti's building right now. Something might be going in there.

Serranos was open yesterday.....

Serranos has been a pocket listing in baton rouge for years now. The owners sold NOLA and no clue about laffy, but they're getting out of food.

Why wouldn't Barcadia open in the old fox and hound location?? That building needs someone in there.

Annoying people go to that Hooter's. My guess is they'd rather cater to kids with daddy's amex card.

Unless the owners are lying to me for no reason, it is not bullshite.

Serrano's lease may be ending soon with out renewing and from what I remember about the Barcadia in New Orleans it would require much of a remodel. The place was pretty bare as far as decorations or set up goes. I think Gattis would make more sense because of possibly cheaper rent but the patio at Serranos might be more interesting for them.

My twice-a-week running group meets at Serrano's (don't ask me why). It's always empty and the decor is straight out of the 90's. The last time I was there, I saw one bartender actively eating dinner behind the bar and another one taking a shot.

My friend told me that Serrano's was also closed post run Sunday evening. This could be telling. I look forward to anything taking over and taking advantage of that prime spot. It has a lot of potential.

I walked by Serranos around lunch time and it looked shut down, there was also some white letter/sign taped to the side door.

Yes. I don't want to see the guy who's supposed to be serving me actively consuming a burrito platter. And I think it was a waitress taking a shot. Just doesn't look good for the professionalism of a (mostly) restaurant that has a bar.

I've bashed on servers plenty, but this is ridiculous.

Disagree.

Work at work. Eat and drink on your own time.
