At coaches committee, someone asked if he'll change the way we approach the game once we're in Omaha. He said absolutely not.

I don't think he needs to change anything.

"When you coach or play for LSU, at the end of the year if we don't win our last game and hold that trophy up, we're going to be disappointed," said Paul Mainieri, a recent inductee in the ABCA Hall of Fame. "That's just the way it is here and I accept that and love that part of being here, and I think our players do, as well.

"Looking at it realistically, in over 100 years of baseball here, we've finished the season that way just six times, which is great. Only one other program has done it more. But we're always going to be driven to get to the College World Series and be the last team standing. That's never going to change."

No should we. We were perfectly capable of winning last year in Omaha had we played to our capabilities.

It was not coaching that lost those two games.

We were one of the best 2 or 3 teams all year last year, I don't want to change that at all based on what happened over a 2 game sample

Window has closed . Offense always a premium in Omaha. We no got no offense when it counts....this years bunch will score way less than last year IMO Bregman may see one decent pitch a game.

We need swagger on this team. We need some black guys like laron landry or Chad jones to pump up the players. It's not racist, it's true

Score more runs than their opponent.

You cannot get out of the SEC playing small ball. The fricking rules have to change or bring in those damn fences in Omaha. What 2 homeruns in the entire tournament. Idiotic. Over compensate and kill the game.

I read somewhere they were thinking of lowering the laces on the baseballs to create less drag and more flight through the air. I haven't looked into it in months though.

Exactly, same specs as pro balls....Seems fair to me. Make the college game as comperable to Pro Ball and you can't lose. The evaluation is that much easier for Pro teams. etc. etc...

Unfortunately I think that's it. The college game has turned into a small ball league.

^This. It used to be about gorilla ball. Now it's about guerrilla ball.
