I took my old rusted up 870, converted it to home defense and sanded it down and used a duracoat shake and spray kit to paint mine. It seems to be holding up pretty good, just a little wear on the action.

I've spray painted a number of rifle stocks and a Savage Striker handgun using "trunk paint." Here's the Striker.
This summer I redid an XP-100 handgun using spray cans of camo paint on the stock and "Aluma-Hyde II" from Brownells on the metal. Here are the before and after pics.
