Not really. Societal mores have simply become looser.
Now, the sexualizing of children has definitely become more prevalent under the auspices of "feminism" and fueled by Madison Avenue.
But innate human sexuality? That's dictated by nature.
It's rather amusing the double standard we have these days.
We paint the past as so puritanical, but if you examine first hand documents, the dirty little secrets show that behind closed doors, we've been rather naughty throughout human history.

I know the past was littered with child wives and lovers. It wasn't as prevalent and society wasn't pushing it. The young girls may have been having sex and getting married but society didn't push it on them.

You are assuming that "society" is some unified front. Truth is we're a hodgepodge of vacillating social and cultural mores. The "moral" pendulum swings back and forth between prudish and promiscuous within different groups.
Now what I will grant you is that electronic media has made it more visible, more readily accessible, and more efficient.

Congrats. By the end of the school year hes going to have a multitude of girls calling the house. The boy is going to ask you to take him on his first date(playdate) very soon. By age 13 he'll be banging the hot 18 year old next door. You my dear friend has raised a legend.
