Orleans parish schools are open, if you live out of the city how can you get there? All roads are closed

At 1:00 I made it from Highland (near CCL) to my office in Industriplex via airline hwy. My husband made it from home to his office near Sherwood and Coursey. I'm not sure of his route, though.
The Wendy's drive thru at Airline and Highland was open. I've lived near there for 7 years and this was my first time to stop there!
