Bale /Kilmer. Bale did a great job. And they are very different. Bale as in the dark Nolan universe and Kilmer more of a comic one. But they are tied for number one for different reasons. Both have flaws but played the character very well.
I actually really liked Kilmer's portrayal. And I liked Batman Forever. Carry was a great Riddler and I know this board seems to hate Jones's two face, but it fit the movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe that's just the nostalgic kid in me. The movie did come out when I was 7.

Keaton
West

Anyone else

George Clooney

Michael Keaton was a good Batman, but after watching the movie again recently, the movie is shite.

If you want your Batman with a little humor, you love Keaton. If you want him dark, and badass in a fight, you're goin Bale.

I love em both, but I want the Batman in Bale's take.

" I suppose you’re only familiar with the new Batman movies. Michelle Pfeiffer? Ha! The only true Catwoman is Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, or Eartha Kitt. And I didn’t need molded plastic to improve my physique. Pure. West. And why doesn’t Batman dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?"

1(a) Bale
1(b) Keaton
2 Kilmer --- he was absolutely brutalized by a shitty script and director
3 West

I thought bale was a good batman but I liked Keaton a lot as Bruce Wayne. I did love Christian Bale's shite eating grin on his face when he was in Bruce Wayne IDGAF mode.

Kevin Conroy, through his voice work, beats them all. Hands down.

Christian Bale even though I'm not a fan of his Batman voice.

If we're including animated than certainly Conroy. Batman the Animated Series was the best 'modern' (even though it's getting pretty old now…) interpretation of the universe and Conroy fit the role perfectly. Live action, Keaton. Prefer his understated performance to the awful snarling Bale and the barely noticeable Kilmer or Clooney.
