Frick People Who Bring Aggressive Dogs to the Dog Park

This guy's dog started a fight and latched on to this other dog. He didn't leave, only leashed it, and it happened again. What a dickhead. Lucky my dog wasn't involved, would have kicked the shite out of his dog.
For the record his dog wasn't a "bully" breed.
I know I know CSB....

Should have called the cops so they'd put it down.

i don't know why people leash their dogs inside the dog park, either. really dumb and dangerous.
i really don't like dog parks any more. I just went on a run with one of my dogs, and we stopped by the neighborhood dog park for a breather. some guy's dog and mine were doing their little pecking order jockeying, and i tried to make eye contact with the other dog's owner and said hi and kind of laughed a little, to make it clear that i was there to grab my dog if it happened to get too rough but that i trust my dog (not aggressive but is dominant). he just looks down and ignored me and started talking baby talk to his dog.
wtf is wrong with people these days?

I feel ya, someone's dog got all up in my dog's face and bit him on the ear and wouldn't let go even after picking up my dog.
fricking dipshit owner didn't do shite about it, so i ended up kicking his dog to make him let go. got into an argument, he called the cops, i showed the cop the bite mark and how it was bleeding and done deal. cop told him to go away

Happened to my dog (15lbs) and a pitbull (75lbs).
We don't go to the dog park anymore.

I think I was at the same dog park when this happened (Forest Park on Harrells Ferry). About an hour earlier, someone was letting their dark colored lab mix, the tallest dog in park, pin other dogs and drag them around by their neck. A couple of people called for the owner and no one responded. Because of this, i took my dog to the far end when the incident you are talking about happened.

People in dog parks are nuts.
My Weimaraner was just running around and got tagged by a Doberman. Really weird and unprovoked. Ripped her wide open. The owner meandered over and said "I think a butterfly bandage will fix that right up." No apology.
It took all the patience I had to not punch him in the eye.
My dog received 6 stitches.
I wouldn't go to dog parks if my damn dog didn't love them so much.
Dog parks are a risk, bottom line

I've found that whenever I go to a dog park, I can count on there being one or more ignoramuses who sit by placidly, like cows, as their dogs stir up fights.
As I've written before, many dogs are not only stronger than their owners–but more intelligent, too. This is a bad combination.

Maybe the guy was trying to socialize his dog. Crazy idea, right?

I always bring my pit to the dog park when she gets hungry.

A dog in the dog park on a leash is much more dangerous than it being loose. If you can't take it without the leash you shouldn't take a dog.

Oh and I live directly next to a dog park and I've had to stop taking my dog there because of stuff like that. He loved it too.

Dude, my golden started being aggressive towards other dogs just because a few Pitts attacked her at the dogpark when she was a puppy. Now she thinks she has to be dominant if any other dog is threatening to her.

Shitty owners. It's the same all over the country.
Same as playgrounds; you get one aggressive 8 or 9 y/o wreaking havik in the area designed for under 5 populated nt 2 and 3 y/os. No parent around or just taking it texting. It's hard to kick a kid though.

People treat their dogs like their kids...The owner thinks their sweet baby couldn't do anything wrong, when in reality your dog/kid is a total fricking a-hole and needs to be disciplined

Luckily we have a dog park in our neighborhood in Katy. Typically when we go there is no one else there so we can throw our dog all the toys he wants.
