Actual Mangalitsa pigs are NOT pig/sheep crosses. They're just curly-coated pigs--it's a Hungarian heritage breed. NO sheep DNA involved, either naturally or artificially.
ETA: I seem to recall a few diff restos around NOLA offering Mangalitsa on occasion. For some reason, a pork belly dish at Luke comes to mind.....

I was wondering about that. Pigs and sheep don't seem that similar, and cross breeds are usually sterile anyway. The story really wasn't that clear on this point.
