My dad has been trying to get me to watch it for a while now, but for some reason I've been hesitant.

So, where would you rank it? Boardwalk level?

I was hesitant. Finally started watching it a few months back and caught all of the seasons on A Prime.

I wouldn't rank it even close to Boardwalk level. There are plenty of eye roll plot moments but it is still an entertaining solid show.

Personally, I like it better than Boardwalk.

If you like great characters and dialogue, watch it

Started off great then wandered a bit and now it seems more focused.
I'd give it a solid B.
Boardwalk is an A+.

I don't watch BWE. I put it a notch below Deadwood.

My dad always told me to watch it. I was like ehhh oliphant is overacting country gunsling and downtown anderson(major league back to the minors) is in it as an idiot. Im not watching this garbage. Finally did and love the show

It is excellent if you like the U.S. Marshall type/genre. The setting is backwoods Kentucky police work involving drugs and a lot of interesting characters. Tim Olyphant is da man and Walton Goggins is an equally good antagonist with a twist of friendship/rivalry between the two. Show has some hot womenz as well. Enjoy.

I could listen to Raylan and Boyd discuss women's paraplegic basketball for 2 straight days.

That's how good their dialogue is.

I enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but got tired of it after that. Boyd Crowder is a great character though. If you've got time to kill, it's worth watching but IMO it's on down the list of those kinds of shows (wire, sopranos, breaking bad, BWE, GOT, etc...)

Behind GoT and BrBa, it's been my favorite show over the last few years.

Eta: Raylan's awesome...the villains are really good, especially season two...amazing dialogue...Boyd Crowder is the best character on TV since Ari Gold.

Very good.
Lots of great characters. That little girl Loretta is great too.

Bummer that it's ending next year.

The backwoods thing can get annoying after a smidge, but I enjoy it.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a better season of a show than season 2 of Justified. It just doesn't get any better. And that remains true for Justified itself. It has fallen off quite a bit since Season 1 and 2, but it's still something I look forward to every week.
