I really do not understand Hill staying another year. He had a great year. Doesn't he stand to make millions in the NFL right now?

Anyone have a clue?

Legal issues, loyalty, personal preference?

I heard he feels he owes LSU another great year for sticking behind him through all his legal troubles. Pretty honorable IMO to turn down millions just to clear your name up. Because he really doesn't owe anybody anything but I applaud him for staying

Some people plan for the next six years.

Some people plan for the next sixty years.

The NFL will always be there. His job will be waiting for him.

But all of them have a chance to improve their value and create memories to tell their grandkids about. When LSU is over, it's over. There's no going back.

His off-the-field issues – two arrests – may hinder the running back’s chances for a higher draft selection this year, said Rob Rang, analyst for CBSSports.com.

Another good season and a year-plus buffer between Hill’s latest arrest would only improve his draft stock, Rang said.

Why did Peyton Manning come back for his senior year? Some guys just want to play on the team they are on.

I am sure there will be a big insurance policy on him. Plus, he won't get beat up that much - lots of guys to split carries with.

I am happy for him. He has only been in college for TWO YEARS. Maybe he wants another year?

If he had been at LSU 3 years, he might be ready to move on, but he had to sit that one year out and wait. He might not be done yet.

From a business perspective, it really doesn't make sense for Hill to stay. At all. However, it shows a lot about his character and maturity. Maybe he wants to finish his degree? Maybe he wants to keep his word to Miles? Could be a lot of things but waving millions off to come back to LSU says a lot about who you are and how much devotion you have to a program risking your career like that. I have a lot of respect for Hill and hope he has a 2000 yard season next year.

He could easily vault himself to a 1st or 2nd rounder by having a good 2014. He needs one more year to showcase himself to become a very very high draft pick.

Some guy on another site a couple days ago was talking about his parents want him to get his degree, so I'm guessing that might be part of the reason too if not the main one.

It's his choice. And it benefits us. Nobody is forcing him to stay yet he's doing us a favor. Idk why so many fans make an issue out of this.
