Weekend Getaway Recs

I'm looking for advice on a three to four day weekend getaway for the wife and I (no pics). We are looking at direct flight options on the Easter weekend and have come up with either Key West or St Pete Beach.
I see that the beaches on Key West are mostly non-existent, but the place is gorgeous. St Pete has some nice options and the flight is half the cost and half the time via southwest out of MSY.
Am I missing anything and what recommendations does the OT have? Budget is 2 to 3k for the trip.

Key West is more like a clean Bourbon Street with really nice water views. This might be a plus or minus depending on what you are looking for...

St Augustine. Fly into Jacksonville and rent a car. It is less than a hour away. Lots of great historic places to stay or you can get a place on St Augustine Beach. Great food and a really fun bar scene.

A trip to cancun is pretty easy to pull off.
Maybe a nice resort in the hill country north of Austin

Don Cesar in St. Pete is great. I went on a girls' trip, but it could be very romantic as well.

Seems like y'all are looking for something more chill, but Nashville is my wife's favorite 4-day spot.
We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel one time-and it's super nice, but it's far from downtown. Next time we stayed downtown-they have a really nice Hilton smack dab in the middle of Broadway.

Key west sucks for beaches but it's fun to visit.

Look into flying SW into Tampa and driving down to Siesta or Longboat Key both by Sarasota. Or Marco Island. Cheaper to fly in Tampa than Sarasota. Beautiful beaches, great restaurants and warm. Siesta and Marco beaches have been recognized as some of the best.
