Mett was pretty shitty his junior year. Enter Cam. Jennings was a FR thrown into starting duty. I'd like to see every QB progress and pick the best to start - 8+ months from now.

I agree that Cam helped Mett greatly, but I don't understand why Les will play 4 or 5 RB's every game but will not give second string QBs some meaningful snaps when the game is out of reach.

Rivers will be a great coach on our sidelines next year holding the clipboard and signaling in plays.

I like Rivers. I wish we could have seen more of him the last 2 years. Last year in spring game I thought he play very well. Everybody might think that I am wrong, but I believe that QB's need some game experience to truly have a fair chance to see what they can do. I was glad to see Jennings get a game under his belt before next years first game. I hope Harris is best QB LSU has ever had, but I just don't understand why Les refuses to play second string QB's when the game is in the bag.

The offensive coach that has developed million dollar QBs didn't share your evaluation.

LSU could never beat the lesser opponent enough to get the 2nd string QB playing time. Always played down to their level.

I'd like 2nd QB to get meaningful reps for sure. Esp in a blowout win early in the 3rd Q or so to run the offense.

That said, there is a complete and utter difference between RB reps and QB reps.

Miles will no doubt stay with Jennings. He does not possess the ability to play the better guy. only wants to prove he was right before.

I forget who, but someone on ESPN said he played like Winston, I think Dilfer. This guy is going to be a play maker and take us to the promise land.

"The QB Whisperer", George Whitfield, compares Brandon Harris to Jameis Winston. This is a good interview. He says that Cam Cameron is his mentor and that he's learn more football from Cam, who he's known since he was 12 years old, than anyone else.

So much fail in this thread, I didn't know whom to respond to.

Fact: Rivers had a huge head start on AJ yet was beat out by him. Rivers is a non-factor. Ditto, Bolden for same reason.

Fact: Rettig was almost instantly beaten out by AJ. Barring injury, or a collapse by AJ, Rettig is no longer a factor.

Fact: Brandon Harris may turn out to be the GOAT, but barring an AJ injury, it's very unlikely to be next year.

BTW, hysterical how one idiot wrote that Bolden would never start because the coaches would favor their own recruits. This, just after the two year Mett era!

what does this mean? Im sure that when Cam decides who the QB will be, they will "stick" with him. Im not sure what overplay means in this context.

stick with him as a starter no matter what...overplay him in a game when he is playing poorly, overwhelmed, or underprepared.....see every fame w JJ, see bowl game this year, see DJ this year, see Loston most games, etc etc etc

Penrod...I'm not sure why they wouldn't just hire you since you seem to have all your "facts" in order!

George Whitfield

QB coach of Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, Jameis Winston, etc.

Said Harris is of that caliber (by comparing him to Jameis)

In other words.

LSU will have a star QB when its all said and done with Brandon Harris.

OK. My bad. I got it now. Im sure glad you're not a coach at LSU. We are going to be playing a young QB this year, whoever it is, and at times they will struggle. I hope the coaches don't do what you want and yank them every time they have a bad half or quarter.
