heated battle in spring camp for starting spot between Jennings and Rivers. Jennings left the door open in the bowl game. Rettig could also get in the mix but doesn't have the experience or blood lines or size of Rivers but could get in the mix. Can't see Bolden being the guy, but if really who ever steps up and takes it will start.

Dude, if you are leaving BH out of the mix in your spring QB battle scenario, you do not know what just left Bossier City heading for BR.

Weird that Bolden didn't transfer somewhere he could play. No way he was gonna beat out Mett

I think his plan was to replace Mett when he finished.

I honestly wonder why people wouldn't be open to trying him.

-Starting experience at a big program

-higher rated out of high school than Jennings with a ton of great offers

-Similar physical tools to Jennings

-Struck me as a bright kid when I met him last year. (rivals shows he had a good high school GPA)

That was still a 2yr wait for a guy who got playing time at PSU. I'm glad to have him on board though.

Miles will no doubt stay with Jennings. He does not possess the ability to play the better guy. only wants to prove he was right before.
This year will be a ckusterfrick of frustration watching Benn struggle and wonder every week why we don't see Rettig or Harris or Rivers.....we'll lose 4 games...cheers bro

The word is he hasn't gotten any better, even under Cameron...and that's virtually impossible to do

I hope you are wrong, but fear you are correct. We have so many QB's, why can't we make a good QB out of one of them?

Don't really buy that as I haven't seen it reported anywhere ever.

I would believe that the coaching staff feels a certain loyalty to their own recruits and give them the automatic leg up in the competition though.

Why can't we?

Mett was pretty shitty his junior year. Enter Cam. Jennings was a FR thrown into starting duty.

I'd like to see every QB progress and pick the best to start - 8+ months from now.

Rivers will be a great coach on our sidelines next year holding the clipboard and signaling in plays.
