Hey man. Ya, but getting close to that family phase you entered. Saw you posting around and figured you were coming back into the light.

Yep. Kids are travel killers. I don't care what "mommy points" blog says. Ha.

I'm heading to South Africa with my wife and another couple in March. Did a week in Peru last month.

What ya flying? Heading to Peru for a week next year too. Haven't booked yet.

And actually looking at ORD/HKG flights burning these AA miles for next September-ish. Looked like the best route for availability. Will probably bring a friend with me. Not quite sure where I'm heading but Myanmar is moving up.

AA miles are awesome for Asia travel. JAL and CX always have plenty of options. Mynamar is on my list too, but I think I'm going to do what you did and your the Thai peninsula beaches.

The wife ruled out Vietnam and a couple other places since she won't be making this trip.

I won't be back to Vietnam. The communism aspect didn't sit well with me.

I rarely read her. Does she even have a job?

Flying Ethiopian Biz IAD-ADD-CPT. So. African biz JNB-DAR; Swiss Biz DAR-ZRH-JFK on the return. Pretty much rammed both routes through United's engine/call center. I posted about it some pages back.

Peru I flew Avianca Biz IAH-SAL-LIM. United nonstop never opened up. On the return we were the only people in biz class from LIM and 2 others joined at SAL. Felt like I chartered a jet.

Ya, China was kinda weird like that too. My dad served in Vietnam so I'd like to go, plus Thailand is currently run by a junta and Myanmar is quasi pulling out of one so as long as I don't lose a hand I'll gut it out I suppose.
