Let's put it this way.

If you're about to take out a car loan, do that first.

Barclay's is probably not going to GAF if you don't have many inquiries to begin with, and can probably get that card the next day.

Cars and homes are inquiry sensitive, credit cards not nearly as much

It just throws a wrench in my timeline. Like we discussed before, I was planning on getting a Bold in about eight months, right before my CSP hit one year. I was going to get the Barclaycard I'm a couple of months. I'm not planning on purchasing a car until November/December.

I can obviously wait to get both after the car purchase. Just annoying.

It really depends on your score. You know how many cards I've opened up in the past 9 months or so(6 I think and 4 were two months ago)Just bought my wife a new vehicle. Qualified for their best credit offer.

Especially if you're not purchasing till year end a hard pull likely wont negatively impact your score much and likely do more good in the end.
