If you are still cheering for SEC teams after the do over and all these top recruits from in state going to other SEC schools, you're a goddamn idiot.

So you really believe that Mizzou fans chanting SEC at the very end of last night's game hurts Mizzou? And when the Mizzou fan said after beating OSU that he was glad they repped the SEC, he damaged Mizzou? The paranoia and idiocy re this is truly amazing!

So LSU fans and players doing same thing at end of Iowa hurts LSU? Recruits won't pick LSU because of this? Please explain.

No, but it does nothing for LSU. I don't give a shite about Mizzou or the SEC.

frick the SEC. They do nothing for LSU.

LSU is unique in that it's the only big school in a state of over 4 million in population, in a football rich region. LSU would have local talent abound whether it was in the SEC< B1G, B12 or Pac10/12/14/16.

I don't care if Mizzou fans chant "SEC" but if LSU fans chant "SEC" when Auburn wins, they aren't much of an LSU fan.

No the chant while still stupid is harmless. Wanting other SEC teams to do well is the problem. How on earth did Alabama winning the national championship last year help LSU?

How is LSU going to chant SEC at Rose Bowl? Stick with the hypo. By the way, if Auburn wins and someone tells you the SEC is over rated, your a liar if you say you won't respond with 8 straight.

I would rather play in the conf that wins the NC every year. I guess some would rather play in whatever changing conferences Boise State has played in.

Screw the SEC!

When they start to represent ALL 14 schools and ALL 11 states equally I may begin to support the conference.

Until them...it's ALL LSU and nobody else!

First step...move the SEC HQ out of Gumpville.

Second step...move the baseball tournament out of Hoover.

Third step...can the contract with the Birmingham Bowl.

Fourth step...hire a new Commissioner.

Fifth step...fire the entire HQ staff.

Sixth step...hire new refs for football.

Seventh step...investigate and sanction cheaters.

Eight step...tell CBS to shove their contract.

Ninth step...ban ESPN from campus until they get their act together.

Tenth step...force A&M to can the male cheerleaders or go back to the Big 12.

I really don't care about 7 straight wins, only one of them.

SEC 7-2 and Auburn will make 8-2 - The brand SEC lives on. Regardless, of what some posters may think, a strong conference makes every team better- on the field and off of the field - financially. Ask Boise St. how it felt to have all of those strong years, only to get 1 chance to play in the BCS. That's why Boise St, worked hard to get into a conference. Ask Notre Dame how their independence has worked out for them. A strong SEC only helps make LSU stronger in the nation's eyes. Perception is reality. The SEC brand lives on. SEC SEC SEC

"Chanting SEC does not mean you're a Bama fan, or a Florida fan, you moron."

It does however mean you feel some sense of pride in Bama, Florida, etc. winning.

To each his own, but that doesn't happen for me.

I think Saban and the Gumps did not get the memo.

I mostly agree. The SEC cowtows to the Gumps who were too good to beat OU.

The rest of the country is so sick of the SEC. The players in the SEC don't have a problem with conference pride. Can't understand why some fans do.

It's simply giving respect to the toughest conference in the country.

You don't have to chant something to give respect to the conference. Who even needs to respect it? We know it's the best conference in CFB, but I'm honestly tired of hearing about it.

Go Noles...
