Bama, Auburn, and A&M are always going to get their recruits, just like LSU. Florida was horrible this year, and they're still getting top notch recruits. Nothing wrong with a little chant by fans acknowledging their team plays in the top conference. The chant isn't going to cause LSU to lose any recruits.

Please tell me some stupid recruiting site told you to say this? How does Mizzou fans chanting SEC to OSU fans equate to Mizzou fans compromising their recruiting? Can't tell you how many times I've heard players from SEC schools say "SEC baby!", and not one recruit was lost. Why are recruitards so paranoid?

It is recruiting season. A strong conference showing in the bowls is not a bad thing though. Most impressive SEC team so far: Mizzou. They were nails last night. Least impressive: Bama. You know why. Some might say UGA but they're so decimated by injuries they don't count.
SEC has a chance to go 8-2 in bowls with an 8th straight BCS Championship. Not too shabby.

My personal opinion, and I'll get ripped for it, but I'd rather have LSU continue to have the best teams on their schedule and control their destiny than FSU win and pull all of the good recruits with no schedule and basically an automatic run to the playoffs every year.
We saw it in the early 2000s with USC and Miami. Great players and no schedule. It sucked.
I want the best players to continue coming to the SEC and for LSU to have a chance at beating those players rather than to have to hope for BC to beat FSU so LSU can sneak in.
Let the conference continue to get the benefit of the doubt when there are a bevy of 1 loss teams.
For this reason, and yes I know this is contrarian, War Eagle on Monday.

It's amazing how some would rather play in a Conf where every other team sucks. That worked out well for Boise State, they got tons of respect.

I hope you have more faith in LSU campus, facilities and coaches in recruiting players. A freaking bowl win isn't going to change a recruits mind. Once you are at levels of AU, Alabama, LSU and the other top tier SEC teams it comes down to player preference and relationship with coaches and for a minority of players what team can get them in the NFL.
What SEC teams winning does is keep multiple SEC teams in BCS games and NC games. It shows the SEC is the best conference.
