I am far from a liberal, but I agree with this sentiment, but not from an economic standpoint or from caring about Red Lobster.

What bothers me tremendously is making fun of the people that enjoy a particular place/food. I don't go to RL, and don't have any problem with the criticism of the restaurant, its food or its practices.

I just can't stand the elitist, "I am better than those people because I don't eat at ______" attitude.

I agree with this sentiment as well. I hate Red Lobster. I've only been there a couple of times but the experience was awful each time and I steer my friends and family away from it if I can. However, I'm not judging people who eat there.

I've seen the people who eat at chili's. I better than them.
