Was in Academy a little while ago, saw the gun on the rack. Purchased it, went to the woods and shot 20 rounds - after about 10 rounds, action was smooth as a baby's butt. I think this may become my new deer slayer. $379.

Love my marlin .30-30. Very accurate gun. Ive killed more with it than the rem 700 .270

Best gun you can buy when it comes to short shot hunting. I hit everything I pulled the trigger on without one problem. It was stolen from me a few months ago and I am still pissed.

I've wondered why the 357 and 44 are so expensive in lever action compared to very similar 30-30s. Is it simply supply/demand or are the handgun calibers more expensive to produce.

The .357's are rare and hard to find b/c not many we're made compared to the others. I know the browning mod 92 lever actions from the 1970-80's in .357 are worth a lot now. More than the .44's which I own.

I don't understand it either, but then again look at 12 gauge ammo vs .410. The .410 is almost twice as much.

Yep, that's anther one I never understood. Anyone who shoots much .410 should definitely reload.

Thanks. Have you ever bought anything from Gunbroker? I've always been wary of it.
