Blew up a beaver dam yesterday w/ pics and video

Along with pigs destroying our place we also have beavers knocking down some big trees so we are going after them. Step one was to blow the dam. We bought one big jug and 8 smaller cans of tannerite.



This following pic, we had already shot the big tannerite jug. You can see the big hole in the front of the dam but it didn't completely blow the dam. So we mixed the seven smaller ones and placed it in the dam and shot it.



This is the dam after being blown up with tannerite. The jug of tannerite was shot with a 6mmx300WSM.

seems like a bit of excess money and effort for something a shovel and 2 minutes of work could have accomplished. of course, if the plan was to blow it up w/rifle and wait for the beavers to come repair then shoot them, well done, but i don't see any dead beavers.

If you haven't trapped the beaver they'll have that shite patched in 24hrs.

Put a long pipe in the dam. The beavers will just keep building the dam higher and higher but will never figure out that the pipe is how the water keeps running.
