Want a bolt action in 308. I think I've narrowed it down to Tikka T3, Browning X-bolt or Winchester Model 70. Really liking the X-bolt right now.

Pros/Cons of these 3 guns?

T3 is the consensus here. No other rifles are accepted.

This has been discussed a lot. It's personal preferance, everyone that has one of the 3 guns mentioned thinks theirs is the best. Shoulder all 3 guns, see which one you like the most.

I just bought the x-bolt in 30-06 about two weeks ago. I was looking at the same three you are, the Browning just "Felt Right" when I held it up. I've only been to the range with it so far, to do the break in and get it sighted in, but I'm very happy with my purchase. Taking it on a hunt next week!

This. And see which one's operation you like the best, i.e. working the bolt, safety, etc. Of course, be aware that when you shoulder that gun in the store, you'll be looking through iron sights (if any at all). In the field, you'll be using a scope so your line of sight will need to be a little higher. That's ok w/ most stocks, but there may be a stock that naturally puts your line of sight a little too low for optimal scope use.
