So what ya'll want to eat tonight?

Schools like this are basically large well organized bible studies. The players and coaches are used to getting beat down by now.

Southern is actually pretty good. Anybody that says otherwise hasn't watched them play.

They lost at home to Tulane, I watched it. They're not good.

Maybe not as bad as everyone is saying, but certainly not pretty good.

Feel bad for Champion Baptist. Maybe Mainieri can bring them in for a weekend game so the best fans in the world can give them a consolation lap.

Why are they wasting $ on a basketball program?

I'm assuming they aren't rolling in cash

They should have beaten Marquette early this year

They've probably only played 4 D1 games.

Damn. And Southern is really freaking bad.

It’s not as if Southern is even as bad as their record would indicate. They have respectable losses by single digits at Marquette (seven points), at Middle Tennessee (three points) and against Tulane (three points) and they’ve also taken Summit League contender Denver to overtime and lost to national title contender Florida by 14.

I'm pretty sure I could start on champion Baptist. I'm 5'11 and play ?the 4 but I'm confident I could beat out those guys. 116-12 is just pitiful

“Defensively I felt like we played aggressive, we played hard and that’s a pretty good showing for us against a D-1 school,” CBC coach Bernard Griffith said. “Offensively, we just did not show up. We missed our free throws, and missed a lot of easy lay ups.

“(Southern) is big and tall, but we still should have dropped some more buckets.”

* Note: The writer got the coach's name wrong (Griffith is Dillard's coach).

Losing to Tulane is not respectable this year. Go look at their schedule. Lost at Home to Northern Kentucky and Colgate. Then at a neutral site by 20 to Texas St. And 30 to SEMO and Kansas St.
They were decent last year and the whole team transferred.

due to compliance snafu, two SU starters didn't play in that game. Also they used Tulane's conference refs. The free throw disparity was ridiculous.
