What's unsporting about a permanent stand?

Should we all live in temporary housing?

Truth.

There are many ways to hunt. Each should hunt his own (legal) way and support other hunters whether they do it differently or not. The sport is aging though; I can't get my 22 year old son out there.

Nothing at all. This year I joined a club and "inherited" a former member's tower stand. It looked like a crooked POS, the office chairs rolled to the low corner and I thought I would only hunt there on rainy days. I shot all five of my deer from the same stand. Not unsporting but very predictable. Maybe next year I should make it a stand for guests only and hunt like RickfromArizona would.
