I saw a black bear while I was bowhunting in the apalachicola national forest in the florida panhandle one time.

I kept hearing a tree shaking but I couldn't see what it was. I crept around until I was about twenty yards away and she was up at the top of a 35-40' pine tree shaking the shite out of it. When I saw her I froze but she turned around looked down and made eye contact with me. As soon as she looked away I started slowly walking backwards until I was out of sight and then got some pep in my step. Didn't have a pistol on me at the time

I killed a coyote last year while hunting deer. however, I have never yet seen a black bear in the woods. i'm fairly certain that in 20 years they will be quiet common as they are protected pretty heavily and really don't have any predators.

I've seen black bear in GA and many, many black bear when visiting the timber fringe area of Saskatchewan. May have dispatched one or two for lurking around our fish camp too...

I see coyotes all the time.

Bears occasionally. They are getting thick in the Northeast and are like 250 lb coons. When they get think like that here no garbage can will be safe.

Walked up on a pack of coyotes a few years ago in the dark. They all started barking and growling and scattered. Then started howling. I sat with my back against a tree and gun pointed down range and waited for daylight

We have a black bear in our neighborhood that terrorizes trash cans all summer. Pretty scary to see a bear sitting at the end of your driveway eating trash.
