mine has a max temp of 275 too, so i don't think the seal is gonna have any problems
the one i bought is only like 170 bucks though, so its damn near disposable every few years
eta: i would imagine the glass on the door would become black with soot after a few cooks, rendering it useless unless you kept it clean

I'm sure it can be fixed if it breaks. But we want a bigger one now that we have this one so we will get a bigger one instead. None of us had ever smoked anything before we got this. We bought it on a whim when we were all at lowes getting stuff for some other project and we love it. We have a pretty big family and we are always at each others houses cooking and drinking and shite so a bigger one isn't a bad idea

I've got the same brand, but with more #Smashfactor built in.
Same max temp. I've been burping smoke since last night.
I told oleander the only place smoke was seeping was the vent at the top.

I used to bring venison to Bellue on Plank, and his smoked sausage was always awesome.
I remember thinking, this dude must have an awesome smoker. So one day I asked if I could walk in the back and check it out.
It was a 55 g. drum with a garbage can welded to the bottom as a fire box.
Capt Bellue is a badass welder though. He knew what he was doing when he made that thing.
