I have a $15 itunes gift card and I want to get about 10 or so of the best songs from this genre. Need suggestions. Thanks.

John Fullbright.

He's Americana, not country, with a big blues influence. BUT...he's actually an original Turnpike Troubadour (fun fact: he dated Evan's sister for years and "Every Girl" is about her) and he is one of the most talented singer/songwriters I've ever seen. His live show is top 3 for me.

John Fullbright- All the Time in the World

John Fullbright- Satan & St. Paul

John Fullbright- Jericho

Two of my favorite artists/group.

Sturgill Simpson's High Top Mountain is album of the year IMO.

On my phone so can't link, but they're on YouTube:
Will hoge - Another Song Nobody a Will Hear (my fav song of the year)
Will Hoge - Strong (yes, it's the Chevy truck song, but it's badass)
Wade Bowen - Songs about Trucks
Wade Bowen - Saturday Nights

I assume you have the Diamonds and Gasoline album by Turnpike. If not, it's a must IMO.

Dirty River Boys- Science of Flight

Dirty River Boys- Lookin' for the Heart

Dirty River Boys- Union Painter

Dirty River Boys- Riverbed Wildflowers

Dirty River Boys- My Son

And just because it proves that they're awesome people, too...there's this video...they were playing a venue and and underage fan and his dad stood in the alleyway hoping to hear the band from outside...the boys played the kid his own little private show in the alley <3

Sean McConnell- Novocaine

Sean McConnell- Reckless Love

Sean McConnell- Lie Baby Lie

I'm not even exaggerating when I say Sean is hands down THE greatest acoustic show I have ever seen. He's one of those guys who's great in studio and with a full band, but is just SPECTACULAR when it's just him and a guitar. The live version of "Reckless Love" gave me goosebumps and made me cry all at the same time.

(Also, the comments on "Lie Baby Lie" are priceless...apparently Brantley Gilbert covered that one..."Brantley Gilbert's version is waaaaaay better OMG YOLO BBQ <3333333" )
