If they did truly back off of Quille, it wouldn't be solely because of scaring away other 2014 WR recruits but it would be a part of it.

All of you guys want Quille because he is super talented and will make our class look even better. But, not too many people mention all of the personal foul penalties he gets on the field, etc. He is a pretty high risk/high reward recruit. He has an extensive history of the personal fouls not only in high school but even this past season in JUCO. I don't blame the staff if they are hesitant IF they truly are. LSU isn't really in a position to take any guys with already documented character flaws due to the previous 2-3 years.

the tweet is saying Derrick Moncrief is an Auburn Tiger

Quille hasn't announced his decision yet.

You're reading it wrong, he retweeted someone congratulating someone else. I still don't expect him at LSU, but we'll find out later.

Apparently, Auburn's WR corps was pretty bad this season. He could come in and be a top weapon for them alongside Coates. I do think LSU is probably a better fit for him though.

Auburn's WRs don't run a complete route tree. It's probably the last place you'd want to go as a WR who is looking to make an impression for the NFL.

I can understand him not choosing LSU. Lots of reasons for that. But Auburn is pretty close to the worst decision he could make.

Whatever our staff decides, I can assure you that they did their due diligence in making whatever decision they do.

Auburn ability to run the ball will open up the pass next year. If their qb can become more accurate with his passing, their offense could be fantastic with coats and quille.

if half their offensive line doesn't go to the n.f.l., their offense is good due to their offensive line. the offense becomes average once they go pro. When the won it last, they had a great o-line. when they lost them, Au started a downward turn and the offense wasn't so good. And yes, gus was there the following year.

The o-line is key, but we have a pretty solid two deep. We have no seniors and only 1 likely to go early and 2 possible.

That was a big part of it, but we also lost almost 30 players due to graduation/nfl including our QB. This time we get almost the entire offense back, including the QB and most (if not all) of the o-line.

Our offense should be as good or better next season. Doesn't mean we will win as many games though.

Auburn started six guys on the OL this fall... five of them will be back next year (assuming robinson declares).

We are losing 4 WR's this year. WR is not something freshman come in and dominate at. OBJ didnt really light it up until this year. IMO we need people that can come in right now, ready to play.

quille is a special talent. if the staff passes on him then i assume the staff does not believe we can win a nc next year. also, the NOLA boys are tied together somewhat and losing one of them could potentially cause a ripple effect. however, i count this one as a negative for the staff because they should have seen this coming 6 months ago and been able to diffuse this issue. apparantly they have not been able to do that.

The problems with Quille from the staffs perspective:

1) can he run routes well enough to see meaningful snaps
2) can he grasp the playbook fast enough to see meaningful snaps
3) do they have to watch him outside of football
4) would his decision to attend LSU effect the decision of other highly touted receiving prospects.
5) all this for a seemingly one and done player - this ain't basketball

This is what they've talked about and came to their decision

He's a one and done. It shouldnt scare off anybody and if it does, so be it.

If LSU backed off it should be because a starter is coming back.

we'll miss his potential, but it's not like he'll hurt us or anyone else in the SEC playing in Auburn's offense

If these guys are highly touted then they should have no worries. They should come in and embrace the competition. He's only a one and done guy.
