But Auburn is the hot team right now - after all, they beat Bama.

(And G-d bless them for that. If that gets them Quille, so be it.)

They don't, but there are 2 in LaPlace and i have heard the locals call the one closer to Reserve as the Reserve McDonald's.

Interesting! I was born and raised in LaPlace and never heard this. Always learn something new i guess.

I had the luxury of watching alot of the ESJ studs (RoyDell Williams, Kerry Watkins, Ricky Dixon, Ryan Perrilloux, etc) and Quille is the most Talented of the group. Amazing talent and i hope he can keep his head on straight. He'll be special!

Goodluck to Quille where ever he decides to take his talents.

I agree, I don't understand how the top WR in the country wants to be at a school that throws the ball 5 times in 2 games just don't see it!

Apparently, Auburn's WR corps was pretty bad this season. He could come in and be a top weapon for them alongside Coates. I do think LSU is probably a better fit for him though.

He wants to be at LSU. We are the ones that have backed off. Could be a huge mistake.

Auburn ability to run the ball will open up the pass next year. If their qb can become more accurate with his passing, their offense could be fantastic with coats and quille. Maybe they told him they would be passing the ball more next year. He's a great talent, but not worth losing speedy or Dupree for.

I want to trust the coaches, but I don't understand why we would back off an immediate contributor when we are losing 2stars to the nfl and don't have anyone their caliber ready to replace them.

Well Auburn OC Rhett Lashlee seemed pretty excited this morning. Probably just foreshadowing the news today.

I hope Speedy and Dupre aren't scared of competition. I don't understand why the staff would back off Quille to secure Dupre and Speedy's commitment.

I would love to have Quille even if it was only for 1 year. Nothing against Speedy and Dupre but Quille is a special talent and is an absolute take no matter what. He's physically ready to play while Dupre is raw and still has some developing to do. It would also allow us to develop our young WR's.

It depends, you don't want to mess around with loosing 3-4 year guys by trying to nail down a 1 year guy. I would believe our staff feels good about the guys we have and the guys coming in. Again hate to lose a guy who can play right away, but I understand the back off.

Well to be fair, until this year you could say the same thing about LSU

I agree. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite us. A big NFL ready wideout vs. an unknown. I'm not sure why we backed off after putting effort into him after he originally committed to the Barn. I definitely hope he is not the reason we come up short next year. Give me a guy with that talent that wants to be a Tiger any day.

Talent-wise, I think this kid is off the charts good.

Not counting the incoming Freshmen, we'll have Peterson, Diarse, Spears, Dural and Leslie, with Dural and Leslie probably getting the first looks. Leslie is a deep threat and Dural got lots of reps as a RSFr.

I've seen the film. Those guys can play. Peterson and Diarse could be very special, and I think people are sleeping on Spears. He only played football his senior season, is tall and very athletic.

Diarse is a touchdown machine - he just needs to get more reps as WR.

what does "backing off" mean? he still has a scholarship offer from us correct? would we call him if he committed to us and say we don't want you?

Speedy and Dupre have 4 years of eligibility, I don't understand how a 1 and done would affect them. They are also 18 years old and right out of high school and as great of athletes as they are, will still have a learning curve and some catching up to do with folks that are a little older.

I've seen it said multiple times that the staff "backed off".WTF does that mean? Coaches started calling him twice a day rather than 3? Did they tell him he wasn't needed?? He's set to announce today, and at least per the reports, LSU seems to be in play.....

All of these guys are talented including the incoming WR class but if Quille chose LSU he would be the #1 from day one. It's going to be an interesting decision on his part. His heart has always been with LSU. ESJ also has a good history of sending players to LSU.
