Alabama fans are beyond psychotic - delusional inbreds - who have never heard of this big country we live in.

That was a troll post you f###ing idiot.

Ever hear of Notre Dame, USC, Oklahoma - winning?

Yes, three programs Alabama is neck and neck with in literally every major statistical category (other than one exception - Heisman trophy winners)

Notre Dame has had more great coaches than you will in your next 100 years of football. Bear Bryant and Saban...that all you got?

You forgot 3 other college football HOF coaches: Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, and Genes Stallings not to mention Nick Saban. Severe fail

Most prestigious - Where's Bama? I see Oklahoma, USC, Ohio St. and Notre Dame... Where are you gumps?

Nice article from January 2009. Yeah, that's relevant because 3 more national titles, 62 more wins, a Heisman Trophy winner, and yet another HOF coach being added to the list in the last 5 years would do nothing to those rankings.

But, what they cannot offer is working at what is the epitome of college football. Working at a job that is greater than an NFL position, and at a job that is the most successful in the history of the sport, and one that has had the best coaches to ever coach the game and have his name among them.

I heard about this deal a week ago but Saban was receiving 2% of the Longhorn network.

The fact that he will get to trade in the fan base of Alabama for the Texas fan base is priceless.

Who would you rather be associated with, a bunch of people with below average intelligence and not much going on in their lives or normal contributing members of society?

I wanted to compare the two as toothless inbreds wandering aimlessly around a trailer park vs oil billionaires but I figured that would be an over generalization.

Where does Kirk Herbsteit stand on this story? I don't believe anything unless it comes from him and I see Nicky in rust doing the hook 'em horns thing.

re: How much does saban makes at Bama? And how much is the LHN worth today? And if saban does go to UT, LHN is gonna rise and that 1% could be a good lil bit of change

That's all great and it's almost double of what the reported Bama offer was. The one thing no one is considering as a deciding factor is the rumor that UT boosters bought up all of his bad land investments. If your 24 mil in debt and paying interest only on this, some one says I'll give you a 5 mil a year raise, percent of my network, and I'll buy off your 24 million loan, what would you do. In the long run, that's way more than a 5 mil a year raise.

With all that considered and then this

The only thing more you could ask would be to have the cheerleaders I. His office with nothing under those orange chaps.

Not sure I agree w/ the generalizations. What I might say, though, is who would you rather: a group of irrational SEC fans who expect the moon every single year or a bunch of Longhorn fans who are content with a conf title every decade as long as you win 9-10 games/year?

That was pretty much my point which is why I included the generalization at the bottom.

Basically the fans in Texas are generally more educated than the Bama fans and they have more going on in their lives. Feel free to review Cade Foster's twitter for verification.

Don't discount that Texas has no state income tax. That is a huge number in and of itself.

What derogatory name will Saban call the Alabama rednecks once he's in Austin?

Toothless inbred sister frickers?

And how much is the LHN worth today?

I seem to recall Texass proceeds from LHN are $300 million over a 20 year period so around $15M a year. 1% of which would only be $150K year.

Texass probably has some other revenue they may be able to generate through LHN but it is unlikely that 1% of anything having to do with Texass portion of LHN will ever amount to $300K to $400K. Very doubtful that this 1% is more than a second thought in the overall compensation package.

The use of a private jet such as the one Saban is using now with Bama is worth more than 1% of the LHN will EVER amount to. Don't think LHN is a positive factor at all for Saban... actually its very existence seems quite negative for someone like him.

If... IF... Saban goes to Texass it will be in spite of the LHN and certainly not because of it.

Well, to be technically accurate the Bama fanbase is basically the Auburn/Georgia/LSU/Ole Miss, etc fanbase + every redneck bandwagon sidewalk fan within a 400 mile radius of Tuscaloosa. People only focus on the sidewalk element though because it makes it easier to troll all Bama fans.

Uh, Blevins is not a source I'd put a lot of faith in. When Spurrier went to the Skins, Blevins reported that Bob Stoops was going to be the next HC for Florida. Never came close to happening. I certainly don't believe these figures either.

10 million a year for 10 years has been rumored for at least a week. Dean Blevins didn't break that.
