Must have been disappointing. Just received an email from ticket office to purchase tickets to the Outback Bowl. If LSU were in the Cotton Bowl I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have received that email.

I would set the o/u on requests at 4,000

I'd imagine that our unfamiliarity with the Outback bowl would lead to the low number of initial requests.

Ticket sales to any non-BCS Bowl this year would be slow. LSU fans have been to Dallas quite a bit lately. No one wants to go back to Atlanta. Florida bowls are farther away and more expensive.

Add the fact LSU fans aren't happy the last two years and you have the making of slow ticket sales.

I'm not bitching because it's not a BCS bowl. I was actually really hoping for the Gator Bowl; it would've been a shorter drive, with a cheaper ticket and much cheaper hotels. The fact that it's against Iowa doesn't help.

I was going to make the trip for the Gator Bowl, but my group decided we won't go to Outback.

With the exception of National Championship game tickets (or playoff tickets), I'll never order bowl game tickets from LSU. Unless you're high on the TAF list, LSU gives you the shittiest seats in the house. And, for non-BCS bowls, you can always get cheaper (than face) tickets on the open market, or at the game. If LSU was "more fair" in distributing tickets, I would gladly order from LSU. But, until then, I'll get my bowl tickets (in better seats than LSU would give me) elsewhere.

I suspect if things hold to form LSU fans will be significantly outnumbered by Iowa fans.

If I could I would go in a heartbeat. But I just retired and bowl games aren't in the budget, and we have first grandkid due in January.... anyway

GEAUX TIGERS!!! We need some payback for 2005!!!

Section 146 is best available; endzone right in front of the pirate ship. $90 each (including $10 "convenience" fee).

I'm a big Tiger fan but I couldn't care less about this game. I'll watch it, but no enthusiasm here.

So I doubt our fans will travel well and I suspect our team will be lethargic in the game.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we lose - we just don't care about this one.
