Just curious who might be considered. This troll on Facebook who supports Bama posted:

"I call bullshite and that does happen bring on Kirby."

Would Kirby Smart even be considered? Seems unlikely to me, but could be off base here.

I think they'd go after Saban.

Eta: it happened with our softball coach. He took the lsu job, moved all his shite, then a few days later he was like lol jk roll tide.

You should no longer comment on this subject matter.

Kirby would be on the short-list without a doubt.

Kirby Smart
James Franklin
Pete Carroll
Charlie Strong

I would imagine the preferred candidate would have previous head coaching experience. I don't think Carroll would leave the situation he's in now. Strong might because he might realize what type of bowl 11-1 gets him at Louisville compared to Alabama. I know they're going to the ACC, but I don't think they'll be at the top like they are in the AAC. Obviously we won't need to worry about this because Saban's staying.

Alabama should hire Bobby Williams and not look back when Saban leaves for UT.

Slam dunk hire.

Coach O would be on the short list. He'd take his shirt off and have them doing push-ups at the press conference. Would be a perfect fit at Alabama. Probably could find a spot for Harvey Updyke somewhere on his staff.

David Shaw should be the first guy they call. He'd be a great fit there.

I think Mike Dantonio or Bill O'Brian would be really good hires too but don't think they'd leave- particularly O'Brian who has a pretty sweet contract up there at Penn State.

Dabo would be a death sentence. Lorenzo Ward would be a better former Bama player to hire even though he doesn't have any head coaching experience
