A local sports station is again hashing out the scenario that barring Bama backdooring the BCS game, which we'll know after this weekend, that Saban very likely will accept the Texas job before the end of next week!

This is the same station (105.3 FM)with the host that is getting info from a realtor in the firm Saban's wife is using to shop for a home in Austin.

Also, apparently Saban's wife has some major pull as to where Nicky goes next. Who knows what happens next week, these guys are saying Texas is working on a deal that would pay him nearly double his current salary, and are now saying the terms are already agreed upon. It will be interesting to see how this comes out.

Can we rename this the Saban to _____ board?

Are you telling me your info couldn't fit in any of the other threads on this subject?

This right here should tell you all you need to know. They aren't going to spill the beans and ruin their reputation as a firm in the area. Lulz

If he goes to UT, does Muschamp jump ship and coordinate his defense? Opening up the Florida job for Strong? I could easily see that happen.

I dunno. I find it hard to believe that Texas would hire somebody who is pretty much Santa Anna reincarnated.

Like Alabama wouldnt sell every trailer in the state to match that offer. He aint going anywhere. The Browns job last year was the closest he was coming to leaving. Since he turned that down, he's at Bama till he retires.

Now Gus is an interesting possibility.

OK I believe this is a very long shot. The main reason I would like to see this is the Gumps tearing down the Saban statue if he bails on them. This would make great reality TV.

I'm not saying he's going but if he was considering it wouldn't hammers killing each other after a loss have to impact his decision?

If you say no you're not being honest. People acting dumb is one thing but this is insane

Being realistic, every contender in the sec would like to see Saban leave bama. He is by far the best recruiter in sec history next to the Bear. However, why would he leave. How much money is enough. It would be extremely hard to duplicate what he has done at bama.
With this said only Texas could be a possibility. But he is 60 yrs old, so why leave now.
