Everyone that I talk to has a different opinion on this.

I think he has to. Lou is averaging almost 11 fouls per 36 minutes...if our starting frontcourt gets in foul trouble, we are in trouble since Monty isn't playing Jeff much at all. Although, small ball/run and gun with aminu at PF hasn't been too bad.

What do you guys think we will do? Stay pat or minor/major move to bolster frontcourt?

I really did laugh out loud at this

I kind of expected some random dleague pickup. Maybe Onuaku since he was already here

Maybe a scrap heap guy for depth, but 4-6 weeks isn't really enough time to get a new guy not familiar with the system up to speed.

I don't think we will do anything. No way we trade any of our main guys right now IMO.

Maybe Rivers could be used in some trade; however, I still think they like him in the future.

Sons, before you go all disappoint on me, hear me out

We send Gordon to Boston for Kris Humphries and Jared Sullinger

For Boston, they let Jeff Green slide to SF and Gordon to SG. Both are under contract for a few years giving them a solid foundation for a rebuild

For us, we get Humphries and his expiring $12m as well as Sullinger, who is cheap and under control for a few years. Sullinger could provide nice depth off the bench; you can never have too much of that. Stiemsma and Smith are FA after this year and we will need some size in the front court.

More importantly, it frees up some money to balance out the roster. You could spend the money on a stud or on two good players who will add to our depth. Address needs at SF and C.

If you could turn that trade into, let's say, a Danny granger and Gortat, then you'd be doing alright. Granger may come really cheap if he can't bounce back this season.

Other FA SF and C of note. Could we look for a vet presence for a few years?

Pierce
Marion
Deng
Butler

Pau
Gortat
Hawes
Okafor

There is also this

Deveney also writes that Joakim Noah still has high value around the league despite his battles with injury over the last few seasons. The Knicks would appear to be another logical landing spot for the 6’11 center, although the Pelicans, Thunder, and Mavericks are expected to be in pursuit should the Bulls place Noah on the trading block.

No, I doubt he makes a significant roster move to fill in for Davis for the two months he's out. Maybe something minor but it won't involve Gordon.
