i remember when he was basically in tears after the kentucky game in the sec tournament his freshman year. wanted to win so bad. he makes the team go at both ends especially when we bring the pressure on defense.

One of my most memorable moments as an LSU fan. He was soldier in that game and we almost beat the national champs (that team is super underrated on here. We had some good players).

One more thing. I have a problem with people referring to a young man like Anthony Hickey as a kid.

He's not a kid. He's a man. He's not 40 but being a man is as much or more about behavior than it is about being a certain age.

Anybody under 30 is a kid to me!
But I do get your point, and by your definition Anthony is certainly a man.

I was so upset to miss this game, had to go to Dallas. My husband's niece had the audacity to plan her wedding for THAT weekend. I couldn't even watch on TV or online.

It made me remember how Hickey was basically PG from day one.

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful responses!

From the Tball game. One pic is Anthony with an autistic boy, showing him how to run home from 3rd base, the rest are with the wheelchair lad.
I don't have any pics from the after-surgery visit:

I'm sure there are other similar stories about other LSU athletes. I hope people post about them too.

His Mom thinks a game in the PMac would be too overwhelming.

I don't know much about CP but why would it be too overwhelming for the boy to go to a game?

I just think it would be a great experience for him to watch Hickey live working hard and leading the team.

Either way glad to see we got some good guys on our team.

obviously she knows more than me, but i don't think a weekday non-conference game would be too much. it's pretty quiet.

Apparently large indoor spaces, bright lights, crowds & noise bother him. It doesn't have to be loud by us fan's standards.
This isn't a symptom of CP necessarily, it's more about his condition preventing him having any kind if exposure to situations beyond family homes etc. his Mom hopes this will improve as he becomes more mobile (hopefully).

I think Anthony is making arrangements for him to attend practice at some point.
