At the end of the report (pg. 246) one of the girls friends is facebook messaging I guess? another girl saying that the accuser said she was, "at a party was leaving and some dude hit her in the head when she woke up he was on top of her rapping her, then he dropper her off at her place."
That part of the story is really sketchy. Considering she told no one else that portion of it.
ETA: A ton of the report is just phone records, text messages, tweets, and some facebook messages.

Which I why posted what I posted.
She was obviously upset that her friend told her parents.
Meaning she was forced to go through everything.
Also the bolded statement is VERY interesting

At this point, I think something happened, but the victims reactions derailed any hopes of a prosecution

I read the report. Most of the DNA test stuff wasn't easy to follow but the statements and police reports are pretty short and to the point.
My theory is that once her and JW finished she started thinking about that roommate coming in and possibly filming the sex act. She was also going to have to explain leaving the bar with 3 football players she barely knew. She probably thought there was a chance that video or picture or whatever could get out and spread like wildfire on that campus. It could get back to her friends, family, boyfriend, sorority sisters, etc.
At that point her story can either be A) I hopped in a cab with 3 football players, blew and banged one of them and the other filmed it.
OR B) I have no idea how I got there or who they were, I was blacking out and then coming to sporadically. Someone must have given me a shot that was drugged and I was raped. OR C) I was hit in the head and raped.
The evidence doesn't show she had a head injury. The evidence didn't show she was drugged or really intoxicated. She did have some redness to her knees.

Chances are he probably deleted it that night. i.e once he found he wasnt having sex as well.

Her friends reactions give it away.
1. One friend wonders "why would she think I'd be mad at her"
2. Another friend says "sorry for telling your parents"
Also people must remember...
She's a young woman in a Sorority. Her friends KNEW of her being with her BF earlier and then she leaves with 3 football players/blows one, has sex with him and another one tries to film it?
She had no issue getting dropped off. But she had to have a story or reason for her being in that situation.
Which is why she only tells her friend she got knocked on the head and raped. She had no idea that her friend(s) would press the issue and call the cops.
Once the cops got involved....it was all or nothing...

You haven't read any of the reports have you? TPD didn't sit on anything, they tried to conduct the investigation but the accuser would not cooperate, probably because she knew it was a lie. JW was 3rd or 4th on the depth chart when this occurred and baseball season hadn't started yet. Nobody was covering for anybody.
The accuser only starts telling the same story once the Carroll lady gets involved. Police went to question MJ and he wanted to talk to the Carroll lady before talking to police, probably to get the story right.

Its looking like it was a weak case, she didnt want to press charges, etc.
The TPD should have done a better job. They should have passed on to Meggs anyway.
But flimsy story, her unwillingness to cooperate certainly didnt help move it ahead faster either.

Also
Class started up on the 5th (The day Jameis and her had class)
She got an attorney first before contacting the police on the 10th/11th.
The ATTORNEY also mentions how he's a big name and unsure how to handle this or press charges.
So if anything. The cop who had the case is getting a bad rap as well because even though acknowledge how toxic the situation could be.
