And didnt it just re-surface because a journalist from Tampa received a tip and a case # and he did his job and researched it?

..which means someone with motive to see FSU falter is behind the leak.

1. Urban Meyer (dude has done similar stuff before)
2. REC/Alabama
3. Florida/Muschamp

Yeah, winning football games has to be the only reason someone would not let this go.

Rather than focusing on who and why leaked out the story that FSU PD got involved in a Tallahassee PD rape investigation that involved an FSU QB.

Let's ask the logical question of why they never got a DNA sample from Winston, interviewed his roommate and lied to the victim?

Those are all legitimate concerns.

Haha...Maybe i shouldnt of used the word "tip". That makes it sound like the Journalist received an anonymous letter like the Joker would send to people haha.

But when you look at the report and see all the screw ups the T.P.D made I can see why it quickly disappeared. I mean the girl did call the police immediately and had a rape kit performed on her and blood tests done(not sure if thats the same thing). But the only mistake the girl made was she decided not to pursue a case, and thats because the Detective "encouraged" and influenced her decision. I wouldnt of thought that the Detective and the P.D might indeed be a scum bag and not do their jobs in that moment if I was the girl.

As to why it all of a sudden resurfaced in the past 2 weeks, I dont really have an answer for you. A journalist was the only 1 that actually did his job in all of this and found out that Winston was indeed the accused.

And i dont think it really matters why it all of a sudden re-appeared. The case shouldnt of been closed like it was. I dont think anyone can argue that. So far, the way the T.P.D handled it is what really bothers me the most. I mean these are guys whose job is to protect and serve and uphold the law. And those guys that are supposed to do that flat out didnt follow protocol in a case like this, and basically encouraged the girl to not pursue the case, failed to pass the case up to their superiors, and then notified FSUs football attorney about the situation without telling the girl or her legal reps and gave FSUs attorney and Winston all that time to get witness and testimony in place.

And again, Im not for or against Winston or the girl in this case. We dont know if he did or didnt do the things the girl accused him of. All I can tell from whats been released is that this Detective is a dirt bag and what he did makes it look like he was covering up for Winston and sweeping this case under the rug. Again, we dont know if Winston did or didnt do these things. Regardless, the actions of T.P.D and this Detective make it look way worse and it makes 1 think that Winston did in fact do something sketchy. Not by what the accuser said or what the media says and all that, but by the actions of the Law Enforcement. Thats what irks me the most.
