How many starters were out on that defense?

So if they give up sack on the way to scoring 24 second half points against a team with injuries that means the offensive line is struggling?

The offensive line was the least of the worries in that game.

Give Kevin Mawae a shot. Ex-LSU OL and long time NFL OL. Loves LSU. Would do a great job and be an upgrade over Curley.

Needs to be able to recruit. Can't bring someone in to Louisiana State University who has never coached. Let him start at ULL.

while I don't think Kevin would take the job because itd take him away from his family, he actually has the skill set to coach.

He is a statesman from his days as NFLPA Pres, has been involved in various coaching scenarios (NFL camps and Vandy), and provides unmatched street cred.

It would be somewhat of a gamble not having long-term oline coaching experience, but its a good bet.

i agree some what of a gamble but id take it because of his accomplishments. I also think he would be a great recruiter considering his career. He knows what it takes to make a great olineman in the NFL

And to be honest Offensive line hasn't been a problem this year as long as the offense isn't trying to dig the team out of a hole.

Every year it seems like Miles says the OL is gonna be strong, yet they continually underachieve. Stud is easily replaceable, but I doubt that Miles fires his BBQ buddy unless he's forced to.

1) Kevin Mawae - instant recruiting cred, NFL experience, attitude, already hanging around program, has forgotten more oline technique and skills than Stud will ever grasp.

2) Bob Bostad - coached all those Wisconsin studs and NFL (Bucs) experience, one of the best around.

3) Ben Wilkerson - was asst oline coach during the '11 season, was reason for oline improvement that season, would recruit well.

4) Greg Adkins - NFL (Bills now)/College oline experience, worked w/Chavis at UT, good oline coach

5) James Cregg - good recruiter and oline coach at USC.

6) Hal Hunter - NFL (Chargers/Colts/etc) experience, good oline coach, LSU history, worked with Cameron.

7) Lunda Wells - NFL (Giants) and college (LSU) experience.

Moffit has to go, been here too long don't give a shite anymore. I thought the offense line was Les's specialty. What happened???

My first thought. Very, very, smart guy who flat out knows the OL.

I think you can make an exception for a potential future NFL HOFer who is also an alum, if he was interested.

As far as recruiting, "Hi, I'm Kevin Mawae. You may remember me from my 16 season NFL career, and my 8 Pro Bowl appearances. Would you like to come play for LSU?"

We haven't looked well-conditioned all season; last season either. Who would replace Moffitt?

Do we go after Cochran? YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!!!

Bama fans seem to think he will end up in BR when Moffit steps down.

that is the name we should be after. He is a LSU alum and has major ties to the state. Cochran is the piece that is holding the bama dynasty together. They produce fricking robots at bama, the recruiting is top notch but you see no drop off in how the players look. He is churning out some monsters.

But Stud is fine for them, huh? You seem to be going a little too above and beyond in your defense of Stud and the OL performance.
