Meh.....more talented without a doubt. Better as a team.....I'm not sure.

We are a better team. LSU wins that game by 8+ at home even without Martin.

Free throw shooting lost us the game

Agree. If this is a new trend because of a rule change CJJ needs to make sure we can shoot some damn free throws

But the refs sure fricked us. 54 fouls in 1 game is dumb

Then the teams should commit fewer fouls.

the players need to spend some time on their own shooting free throws.

No time. They have to work on their highlight slams.

The first half foul trouble completely changed the game. LSU was fighting from behind the entire game, and JOBIII having to sit took away a dominant force inside

This team has to find some outside shooting from someone other than Stringer (This should come as the season progresses) Too many good looks that they didn't knock down.

While he will eventually be a pretty good player for this team, any minute that Quarterman takes from Hickey is a minute too long. Hickey is a game-changer, and far and away the most clutch player on this team. The second half isn't remotely close without him.

I fear FT shooting will cause LSU to lose 2-3 games that they shouldn't

I didn't think LSU would win this game, but there is A LOT to build on. Especially considering that one of your best players (Martin) only played 1 minute.

If they make two more free throws it's a different game

Both teams were in foul trouble.

Don't blame it on the fouls, blame it on us not hitting free throws....
Absolutely. 29 fouls on LSU's part (2 garbage-time) compared to UMass' 25. No disparity to lament.

10 missed free throws is, when you've shot 25, about four too many.

This brand of basketball in 2013 is pretty bad to watch

Refs have taken over the sport

The next three full practices should be every player getting on the FT line and shooting hundreds and hundreds of FTs. We should have enough goals for that (4 in the PMAC, 8 in the bball facility?). I'm serious...nonstop FTs for hours on end. We can't leave points on the court like that.

So because someone says it's true, that makes it true....got it. If that's true, I got lots of stuff to sell to you

I didn't get to see the game. How did the refs hose LSU?

In the 1st half anytime Umass drove the lane it was pretty much an automatic whistle. They were better in the 2nd aside from a really shitty call against JOB to give him his 4th and force him to sit most of the 2nd half. And they missed an obvious travel with 16 sec left and us down 3.

Hickey is a better scoring threat than Quarterman, but Hickey didn't shoot today.

Very well.

When you commit 23 fouls and shoot 60% from the line and lose by 2, it ain't because of the refs.

There.

Martin was walking on it without a limp. Johhny jones probably just wanted to hold him out just in case. Idk he will say in press conference im sure

To have players foul less.
